About Me

Big fan of creating, problem-solving, and making in general. First Wanted to be a lawyer, ended up a designer with an extra political science degree. Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, went to school at the University of Washington.

When I'm not designing, I'm writing, reading, exploring the outdoors, or yelling (positively) at a sporting event on my TV.

Experience

Industrial Designer - Pillar Design

2024 - Pres.

My job is to kickstart the product development lifecycle — from initial research, ideation, and client collaboration through to manufacturing. Have taken numerous products from concept to production while driving form, function, CMF and branding decisions. I translate research into actionable insights that shape design strategy, working cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and client teams on accelerated timelines.

Industrial Designer - Chirp

2023 - 2024

Led design and development of multiple consumer electronics, partnering with in-house engineering and overseas manufacturers — including on-site production oversight. Applied human-centered design through ethnographic field studies, prototype iteration, and a product-testing program with hundreds of participants.

Industrial Design Intern - Chirp

2022 - 2023

Designed the Chirp Halo Muscle Stimulator and companion app end-to-end — a product that sold out two months of projected inventory in two days, generating over $1M in revenue within its first two weeks and landing in major retailers nationwide. Also leveraged a visual design background to produce polished research deliverables including insight reports, storyboards, and presentation decks.

Design Lead - OneCourt

2023

Designed the second-generation prototype and oversaw the full DFM process for all hardware components. Developed haptic language and interaction frameworks to define the user experience for visually impaired users following live sporting events. Led cross-functional collaboration across a 12-week launch timeline.

Creative Designer - UW Football

2018-2023

Helped to direct visual storytelling and creative strategy across three recruiting campaigns — contributing to nationally ranked recruiting classes (#15, #18, and #26). Handled studio and game day photography alongside broader creative direction for marketing and social media.
